Their work to minimise environmental impact and improve corporate and social responsibilities has made them a key figure in improving the well-being of New Zealand communities.
In May 2021, it was announced that the New Zealand Government was investing $8 million into an Iwi-led initiative to improve the resilience of whānau in the Te Hiku region during drought periods. The installation of water tank systems was designed to greatly improve access to clean drinking water — but first, a sizable amount of field collection was needed to access land conditions.
With such a large project, RPC turned to datanest for a viable data collection and analysis solution, which would help them test water conditions. The software also needed to streamline information collection for the entire collaborative team, making sense of the data collected from local Iwi and on-site to deliver relevant insights.
“Whilst impressed with what datanest could possibly do, I had reservations about whether the data collection would be easy to implement and use by a third party. We are now 6 months into the program and seeing great results with consistent data collection being fed back instantly to the team in the office. Datanest has allowed our staff to gain powerful insights into the data as well as automatically generate scopes of work based on the data collected.”
