Haigh Workman.

Haigh Workman Ltd is a Civil, Structural, Geotechnical and Environmental Engineering firm specialising in industrial and residential engineering. As a multidisciplinary consultancy, Haigh Workman works closely with their clients in all facets of property development, providing expertise and quality engineering solutions from concept to completion. Operating out of offices in Kerikeri and Warkworth, they’ve completed over 8000 projects since 1994, innovating along the way to keep up with modern technological developments.

Where we come in

The Haigh Workman contamination team is in charge of providing cost-effective solutions for their clients but quickly found that the traditional method of taking hand notes was time-consuming and inefficient. With a wealth of technical experience, their team knew there was a better way to take and analyse field notes.

Datanest’s team collaborated with Haigh Workman to understand their needs and created a bespoke template in Gather. This template matched their pre-existing data gathering and reporting templates, creating a seamless transition away from the traditional method of taking field notes and towards utilising digital efficiencies.

We were also able to reduce the pressure on the draughting team and give engineers the tools to produce accurate development plans, engineering designs, maps, and figures. Our software allowed the team to connect with a range of government GIS services and bring across a wealth of data, delivering rich content to Haigh Workman’s clients.

“Using Datanest means we are able to automate our field notes, making the process streamlined and efficient. We have already seen major improvements in our team's workflow and our ability to meet project deadlines with quality output. What used to take hours with the risk of human error and mistakes, now means quick, consistent and robust information.”
